Torrefaction solutions for four industrial feedstocks
Keystone Energy uses its continuous torrefaction technology to process Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), Biomass, Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Sludge into feedstock-specific torrefied fuels.
The dry, brittle output is designed for coal-replacement and co-firing applications in thermal power plants, cement plants, steel plants and industrial boilers.
Keystone Energy's portfolio includes a fully commissioned 100 TPD plant in Warangal and a completed 50 TPD Delhi Jal Board pilot. Its 500 TPD Gorakhpur MSW plant and 200 TPD Sangrur biomass plant are in commissioning.

MSW to Torrefied Charcoal Plants
Keystone Energy provides an end to end EPC solution for setting up plants to convert MSW into Torrefied MSW, Torrefied Coal, Charcoal, Green Coal and BioChar fuel. Complete EPC solution includes designing, engineering, procurement and commissioning of the waste to charcoal plants. The end product, torrefied MSW, is mandated by the Ministry of Power under biomass co-firing mandate to be used by thermal power plants to reduce pollution and increase generation of sustainable energy.
Keystone Energy’s MSW projects include a 500 Tons Per Day MSW to Torrefied MSW plant for NTPC Ltd. in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Biomass to Torrefied Charcoal Plants
Keystone Energy provides industrial scale biomass torrefaction EPC solutions for converting agricultural residue, woody biomass, agro waste and organic biomass to Torrefied Biomass, Torrefied Coal, Charcoal, Green Coal and BioChar fuel. Complete EPC solution includes designing, engineering, procurement and commissioning of the waste to coal plants. The end product, Torrefied Biomass, is mandated by the Ministry of Power to be used by thermal power plants to reduce pollution and increase generation of sustainable energy.
Keystone Energy’s Biomass projects include a 200 Tons Per Day Biomass to Torrefied Biomass plant for TransPacific Engineers in Sangrur, Punjab.
STP Sludge to Torrefied Charcoal Plants
Keystone Energy provides EPC solutions for converting STP sludge torrefaction, sewage sludge processing, biosludge treatment and sludge-to-fuel into Torrefied Coal, Charcoal, Green Coal and BioChar fuel through torrefaction. Complete EPC solution includes designing, engineering, procurement and commissioning of the waste to energy plants. The end product, Torrefied STP Sludge, helps convert high moisture waste to usable fuel.
Keystone Energy’s STP Sludge projects include a 50 Tons Per Day STP Sludge to Torrefied Charcoal pilot plant for Delhi Jal Board in Delhi.
